Ernest D. Gulliver

Ernest D. Gulliver, 79, of 194 Central Street, Gardner died Monday, September 2, 2013 in Heywood Hospital Gardner, following a brief illness.
He was born in Fitchburg on April 21, 1934, the son of the late Ernest and Ruth (Miles) Gulliver.
Ernest was employed by W.E. Aubuchon Company, Inc. of Westminster for several years, retiring in 1997. Following his retirement he worked as a truck driver for C.A.P.S.
Ernest graduated from Fitchburg High School with the Class of 1952.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Ernest was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Gardner.
His passions were reading and music. He sang with numerous groups in the area, including Nashoba Valley Choral, Leonard Gaskins Choral and Greater Gardner Gardner Community Choral. He also sang with many church choirs, Christ Church, All Saints Church, St. Marks Church, Good Shepard Church and St. Pauls Episcopal Church.
Ernest leaves three sons, David, Keith, and Wayne Gulliver; a step-son, Bert Morin; one brother, Arthur of Leominster; one sister, Judy Rose of Florida; and several grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, September 8th during the regular scheduled 10:45 a.m. Mass. Fr. William Hobbs will officiate.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 79 Cross Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner is handling the arrangements.
