Ernest J. Comeau

Ernest J. Comeau, 78, of 296 Parker St., Gardner, died Thursday, July 27th in the LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing, Gardner, following a long illness.

Born in Gardner on October 3, 1927, he was the son of Enos and Rose Anne (Maillet) Comeau.

Ernest was a graduate of Mr. Leo's School of Hair Design of Worcester and owned and operated 'Mr. Ernest Coiffeur' of Gardner for 30 years until retiring in 1992.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He enjoyed cooking, bartending, traveling and especially liked Himalayan cats.

He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Margaret G. (Horton) Comeau of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Comeau and a sister, Irene Comeau.

A Memorial Mass from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner will be held Friday, August 4th at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Green Bower Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Friday, August 4th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
