It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Ernest Frederick Boucher, loving husband of 44 years to Dorina (Leblanc) Boucher, which occurred on Wednesday June 24, 2015, at Bobby's Hospice of Canada, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born 1937 in Minto, N.B. Canada, he was the son of the late Adelard and Lena (Cormier) Boucher. Ernest was a 26 year Veteran of the United States Army and the National Guard. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, horseshoes, Western movies and coaching youth hockey for many years in Gardner. He was an avid hockey fan cheering for whoever the winning team was. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife Dorina, he will be greatly missed by his step-children Paul (Maria) Dube, Karen (Chester) Welch both of Gardner, James Dube of Musquash, Canada; grandchildren, Jackie (Matthew), Randy (fiance Shawn Renee), Jodi (Matt), Shaun, Kyle, Danielle, Jean Paul and Gabriella; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Joseph, David, Collin, Adrianna and Addison; sisters Melda, Theresa (Arthur) and Victoreen (Tim) all of Rexton, N.B. Canada; several nieces and nephews and one special nephew Joe; special Godchild Beth; and canine companion Sheeba. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step-son John; brothers Paul, Emery, Joseph, Harvey, Allison and Aurel; sisters Rose, Bertha, Violet, Melina, Melda and Susan.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glennallen Street, Winchendon.
