Emilienne M. "Bunny" (Leger) Richard, 100, a resident of the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for the past 16 years, died Monday, April 16th in the LaChance Center.
Born in Gardner on February 1, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Jaddus V. and Emilienne (Cormier) Leger.
Mrs. Richard was employed as an office worker for McMahon Furniture Co. of California, until retiring in 1969.
She graduated from Becker Jr. College, Worcester in 1925, with an Associates Degree in Business Administration.
Mrs. Richard was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
She leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Richard was predeceased by her husband Elmo "Freddie" Richard who died in 1968; a 15-month old daughter, Carol Anne Richard; and by four brothers, Alyre "King", Hector, Alfred and Alphonse Leger; seven sisters, Severin Claremont, Loretta Caissey, Mary Leger, Laura Leger, Alice Landry, Evangeline Friberg and Alfreida Davis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Thursday, April 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
