Emilie Pelagie Gallant

September 2, 1917 — December 18, 2009

Emilie Pelagie (LeBlanc) Gallant, 92, of 32 Hospital Hill Rd.., Gardner, and formerly of 408 Parker St., Gardner, died peacefully Friday, December 18th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
Born in Memramcook, NB, Canada on September 2, 1917, she was the daughter of Philias and Lucy (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
She was an upholstery cutter's assistant employed by the former C.H. Hartshorn Company of Gardner for 32 years until retiring in 1979.
Mrs. Gallant was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers and the Friendly Neighbors.
Emilie enjoyed quilting, gardening and housekeeping.
Her husband of 54 years, Alfred J. "Freddie" Gallant, died in 1998.
She leaves a several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased 3 brothers, Antoine LeBlanc, Leonard LeBlanc, The Right Honourable Romeo LeBlanc and 3 sisters, Irene Cormier, Valeda Cormier and Alice Breau.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22nd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Tuesday, December 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church Renovation Fund, 135 Nichols St., Gardner, MA 01440.
