Emelda Gaudet

Emelda (Arsenault) Gaudet, 92, of The Highlands, 335 Nichols St., Fitchburg, and previously of 378 Parker St., Gardner, died peacefully Saturday, December 20th in University of Massachusetts Hospital, University Campus, Worcester following a short illness, surrounded by her family.
Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada on March 6, 1922, she was the daughter of Timothy and Catherine (Perry) Arsenault.
She was a machine operator employed by the former Simplex Time Recorder Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of Ladies of St. Anne of St. Theresa Church, Mexico, Maine, and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner. She was an avid beano player, enjoyed fishing, bowling, knitting and going to Mohegan Sun.
Her husband, of 66 years, Arthur J. Gaudet, died in 2012.
She leaves 3 daughters, Shirley Martin and her husband Glen of Templeton, Marie Gabis and her husband Donald of Templeton, Anita "Nene" Jacques and her husband, C.J. of Gardner; one brother, Sylvere Arsenault and his wife Doreen of Prince Edward Island, Canada; 2 sisters, Eva Perry of Prince Edward Island, Canada, Alma Konwinski of Alpena, Michigan; 4 grandchildren Lisa Budzinski, Nathan Wilder, Donnie Dragon, Tracy Keeney; 7 great-grandchildren Mallory Seamon, Jasmine Wilder, Katie Dragon, Marissa and Caden Keeney, Cannon and Molloy Wilder; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Ellia Seamon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Arsenault and a sister, Cecelia Lafreniere.
Funeral services from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner, will be held Wednesday, December 24th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, December 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
