Elvi E. Kalagher

Elvi E. (Suomela) Kalagher, 85, of 136 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, died Sunday, February 27th in Emerson Hospital, Concord, following an illness.
Born in Fitchburg on March 29, 1919, she was the daughter of Augusti and Ida (Jokela) Suomela.
She was a self-employed housekeeper for several years, retiring in 1988.
She enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking and traveling.
Her husband, Joseph W. Kalagher died in 1979.
She leaves 2 sons, William Piispanen of Pohokee, FL; Joseph Kalagher II and his wife Karen of Ashburnham; 2 daughters, Rosemary Kalagher of Marlboro and Judith Pomerleau of York, ME; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Fredrick Piispanen.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Friday, March 4th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
