Eloise M. (Hamel) Brouillet, 75, of Fitchburg, died peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Highlands, Fitchburg, after a period of declining health.
Born in Gardner on March 4, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Henry Sr. and Priscilla (Plouffe) Hamel.
Eloise enjoyed playing online computer games, crocheting, and working in her gardens. Her greatest joy was her family, treasuring the time spent with them.
Eloise is survived by her husband Alan Brouillet of Gardner; two sons, Mark Hamel and his wife Christine of Vermont, and Anthony Brouillet of Gardner; four grandchildren, Savannah Hamel, Kelsey Rice, Shelby Hamel and Marissa May Mclaughlin; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rebecca Shell and her significant other Rick Lanney of Leominster, and Amy Ishol and her husband Gene of Las Vegas, NV; four brothers, Randy Hamel of Phillipston, Phillip Hamel and his wife Mary Beth of Arizona, Steven Hamel and his wife Deb of Westminster, and Andrew Hamel and his wife Christine of Gardner; an aunt, Hermine Eaton, and uncle, Arthur Plouffe and his wife Leona; several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Anthony Hamel; a sister, Paula Gingras; and two brothers, Henry and Michael Hamel.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747, 71 City Hall Avenue, Gardner, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Please reference in memory Eloise M. Brouillet.
