Elizabeth L."Betty" Lavenski

December 24, 1939 — October 28, 2009

Elizabeth L. "Betty" (Brooks) Lavenski, 69, of Tampa, FL, formerly of 116 Church Street, Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, October 28th in Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL, surrounded by her family.

Born in Templeton on December 24, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Augusta Brooks and Olive (Akens) Laperriere, and was raised by her mother and step-father, George Laperriere.

Betty was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.

She spent her life devoted to raising her children. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, and watching soap operas on television. Betty treasured time spent with her family.

She leaves six daughters, Katherine Huntoon and her boyfriend James Tobin of Tampa, FL, Debra Ladeau and her husband Roger of Baldwinville, Anna Bradford and her husband Douglas of Framingham, Andrea Parker and her husband James of Bradenton, FL, Rose Bourgeois and her husband Joseph of Gardner and Judith Lavenski of Rutland, VT; two brothers, George Laperriere of Gardner and Fredrick Laperriere and his wife Coleen of Gardner; three sisters, Olive Clasheen of Arizona, Mary Taylor of Gardner and Marilyn Richard and her husband Robert of Winchendon; fourteen grandchildren, Kristen Huntoon, John Huntoon, Kelly Huntoon, Cheyenne Huntoon, Timothy Curry, Lisa Curry, Jessica Curry, Kimberly Curry, Roger Ladeau, Amy Cooper, Brian Lavenski, Joyce Bradford, Allan Webber, Tiffany Bourgeois; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was predeceased by one brother, Richard Brooks; one sister, Margie Laperrriere; and by two grandchildren, Linda Ladeau who died in 1995 and Robert Bourgeois who died in 2009.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 17th at 10:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, November 16th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
