Elias "Eli" LeBlanc, 78, of 46 Warwick Rd., Gardner, died Friday, March 18th in Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, following an illness.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, Canada on August 31, 1926, he was the son of Calixte and Nelida (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
He was a landlord and previously owned and operated LeBlanc Plastering for several years until retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He was a family man who loved nature and enjoyed working, hiking and walking.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Jeanette R. (Cormier) LeBlanc of Gardner; one son Michael J. LeBlanc and wife Janice of Leicester; 1 daughter Lucille M. Kontos and husband Thomas of Worcester; 3 brothers, Phillippe LeBlanc of Gardner, Medor LeBlanc of Moncton, NB, Canada, Alcide LeBlanc of Fitchburg; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Timothy and Michael Kontos, Phillip and Eric LeBlanc; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Lazare and Jean LeBlanc and 1 sister Lydia St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23rd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, March 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
