Elia (Bourgeois) Guevin, 96, of 22 Hunt St., Nashua, NH and formerly of 125 Connors St. Gardner, died Tuesday in Courville Nursing Home, Nashua, NH following an illness.
Born in Grandigue, NB, Canada, on October 22, 1907, she was the daughter of Jean Baptiste and Angelina (Caissey) Bourgeois.
She was a press operator employed by the former O.W.Siebert Co. of Gardner for 25 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the Gardner Golden Agers. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing and playing beano.
Her husband, Louis N. Guevin, died in 1989.
She leaves 1 son, Paul E. Guevin of Otter River; 1 daughter, Claudette Hendrickson of Nashua, NH; 1 sister, Dora Cunningham of Gardner; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. B
urial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
