Elaine J. (Poirier) Alisauskas, 70, of 35 Lennon Street, died Wednesday, February 25th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by her family.
Born in Gardner on May 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rita (Gallant) Poirier.
Elaine was a Childcare Counselor employed by the former Protestant Youth Center, Baldwinville for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She was previously employed for five years at the former Eastwood Pines Nursing Home, Gardner.
Elaine graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the Class of 1957. She received a degree in Human Services from Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner in 1982.
Elaine was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
She enjoyed watching Nascar racing and the New England Patriots football games. Her hobbies were swimming, walking, reading and traveling. Elaine most enjoyed spending time with her family.
She leaves three sons, Jeffrey A. Alisauskas of Baldwinville, Michael E. Alisauskas of Gardner and Stanley G. Alisauskas, Jr of Gardner; two daughters, Lisa J. Alisauskas of Gardner and Catherine M. Alisauskas and her husband David Lamb of Valinda, CA; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Kila, Allison, Zachary, Mikayla, Kerrin, and Joseph Alisauskas and Merynn Lyman; three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Nevaeh Alisauskas and
Benjamin White; one aunt, Rachael Healey of Gardner; and several cousins. Elaine also leaves two dear friends, Jeanette Mossman and Claudette Bastarache, both of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Saturday, February 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
