Edwin W. "Max" Wislocki, 58, of 7 Willow Street, Gardner died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in his residence.
Max was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 4, 1952, the son of the late Edwin J. and Catharine (Bobnes) Wislocki.
At the time of his death, he was employed as a clerk at Brazells Package Store and O'Skis Laundromat in Gardner. He was previously a furniture worker employed by Nichols and Stone Company of Gardner.
Max attended South High School in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was a former member of the American Legion, Post 129 of Gardner.
Max was a United States Vietnam War Marine Veteran, and received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with two Stars and the Combat Action Ribbon.
He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
Max leaves one daughter, Mary Wislocki of Delaware; two brothers, David A. Wislocki and his wife Gayle of Gardner and Stephen R. Wislocki and his wife Julie of Pittsburgh; one sister, Patricia Gabig of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Danielle, Shane and Kadie Wilson; one aunt, Kay Bobnes of CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Wislocki.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111Glenallan Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
