Edward J. Turski

Edward J. Turski, 86, of Baldwinville, died peacefully Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Baldwinville on December 3, 1935, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Dymek) Turski. He graduated from Templeton High School with the Class of 1953 and attended the Ward School in Worcester. Ed was a Plant Manager employed by Maple Wood Furniture for 22-years prior to his retirement. He was previously employed by Thayer Furniture for 21-years and Tyler Millwork of Athol for 4-years.

Ed was a parishioner of Saint Vincent de Paul Church of Baldwinville where he served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and on the Parish Council. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Otter River Council and the Studebaker Drivers Club where they restored a Studebaker Hawk. In his free time, he enjoyed working around the house, cooking, and volunteering for Junior Achievement. His greatest joy and treasure was his family, always cherishing the times they had together.

Ed is survived by his wife of 61-years, Janice (Williams) Turski of Baldwinville; a son, Edward J. Turski, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Winchendon; a daughter, Cheryl Turski of Templeton; a special cousin, Chet Dymek of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister, Helen Dockum.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, February 18, 2022, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 18 Pleasant Street, Baldwinville, MA. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bridge Street, Baldwinville, MA.
