Edward G."Eddie" Conroy

Edward G. "Eddie" Conroy, 83, of 75 Ridgewood Lane, Gardner, formerly of Lowell, MA died suddenly Thursday, December 5, 2013 in his residence.
Born in Lowell on August 8, 1930, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Mullen) Conroy.
Edward attended Lowell High School, Lowell.
He was a United States Korean War Army Veteran, serving from 1952 through 1954.
Edward was employed for many years in the printing department of Raytheon Corporation of Bedford. He was later employed by the former St. Joseph's Hospital in Lowell as a housekeeping supervisor.
Edward was a huge fan of football; especially college football. He enjoyed music, loved the Christmas holiday, was a devout Catholic and was a devoted, loving family man.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Constance C. (Lemieux) Conroy of Gardner; two sons, Kevin E. Conroy and his wife Tammy of Nashua, NH and Paul M. Conroy of Naples, FL; one daughter, Karen A. Preston and her significant other Bob Wentworth of Winchendon; seven grandchildren, Korey E. Preston and his fiancé Heather Beausoleil, Danielle E. Conroy, Sean Conroy, Courtney A. Preston, Katelyn A. Conroy, April P. Conroy and Brooke T. Conroy; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Simon Conroy; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services with full Military Honors will be held Friday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Road, Winchendon.
