Edmond J. LeBlanc, 68, of 104 Church Street, Gardner died peacefully Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, surrounded by his family.
Born in St. Anthony, N.B. Canada on November 23, 1943, he was the son of the late Henri and Aurore (Legere) LeBlanc.
Edmond was a construction worker for many years, working for various local companies.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. Edmond was also a member of the Acadien Social Club of Gardner and a Second Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #396 of Gardner.
He enjoyed listening to Country music, and attending George Jones concerts. Edmond loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Edmond was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Anne-Marie (Savoie) Leblanc, who died December 28, 2011.
He leaves one son, Kevin LeBlanc and his wife Denise of Leominster; one daughter, Sharon A. Robichaud and her husband Brian of Westerville, OH; four brothers, Louis J. LeBlanc, Herve J. LeBlanc and his wife Alice, Cleo J. LeBlanc and Leo J. LeBlanc all of Gardner; four sisters, Corinne M. Bouchard and her husband Roger, Jeannita M. Richard and her husband David, Bertha M. Prentiss and Annette Melanson and her husband Victor all of Gardner; a sister in law, Robbin LeBlanc of Fitchburg; six grandchildren, Erin, Justin, Reid Robichaud, Devin and Sylvia LeBlanc, Luca Korhonen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Omer J. LeBlanc.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 26th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour in the funeral home will be Saturday, May 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
