Edmond J. Gariepy, 85, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner, formerly of 120 Ash Street, died Monday, August 14th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Gardner.
Born in Gardner on July 27, 1921, he was the son of Louis and Louise (Lavigne) Gariepy.
He was a molder, employed by Duponts in Leominster for 10 years, retiring in 1983.
Edmond was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish. He was a member of the League of Sacred Heart and the Association Des Canado.
His wife of 42 years, Elizabeth (Cabana) Gariepy died in 1998.
Edmond leaves 2 sons, Daniel B. and his wife Deborah of Templeton, Peter J. and his wife Joan of Orchard Park, NY; a daughter, Lisa G. Aiken and husband Thomas of Belchertown; 2 sisters, Pauline Doiron and Jeanne Wironen both of Gardner; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Leo and Henry Gariepy and Henry Fournier, and 1 sister Aurise L. Hamel.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of The Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, August 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
