Edmee Cormier

Edmee (Cormier) Cormier, 90, of 125 Connors Street, Gardner and formerly of 60 Acadia Road, Gardner for 34 years died peacefully Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following a long illness.
Born in N.B. Canada on July 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Hazel (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Edmee was employed by Custom and Modern Manufacturing Company of Gardner for 7 years as a hand sander, prior to retiring in 1983. She was previously employed by Harrington Richardson Company of Gardner.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner.
Edmee enjoyed cooking, knitting and watching Westerns and game shows on television.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Emile J. Cormier, who died March 25, 1989.
She leaves two sons, Yvon J. Cormier and his wife Sheila of Gardner and Donald J. Cormier and his significant other Claudette Borey of Gardner; three brothers, Edgar Cormier of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and Jean Phillipe Cormier of Missisauga, Ontario, Canada and Louis Cormier of Londonderry, Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Cecile Cormier of Cocagne, N.B. Canada and Elizabeth Cormier of Notre Dame, N.B. Canada; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Edmee was predeceased by one son, Alcide J. Cormier who died in 2002, one brother, Roy Cormier and by one grandson, Donald Cormier.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 9th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Tuesday, November 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
