Edith M. (Zalewski) Sbrega, 77, of 46 Lennon St., Gardner, died Thursday, June 10th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner, following an illness.
Born in Baldwinville on August 6, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary E. (Matusewicz) Zalewski.
She was an office manager employed by Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner for several years, retiring in 1988. She was previously employed in the office of Templeton Price Administration, Temple-Stuart Co. of Baldwinville and Narragansett Regional School System.
Mrs. Sbrega was a 1944 graduate of Templeton High School and attended Mount Wachusett Community College. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the Gardner Womeni¿½s Professional Club.
Her husband of 44 years, John S. Sbrega, died in 1991.
She leaves 1 son, John S. Sbrega Jr. of Gardner; 1 daughter, Darlene M. Sbrega of New York, NY; 2 brothers, Alexander Zalewski of Baldwinville and Stanley Zalewski of Dudley; a grandson, John S. Sbrega III of Gardner; 1 aunt, Helen Zlotnik of Gardner, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. Josephi¿½s Cemetery, Gardner.

A calling hour at the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 15th from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Activity Fund, 32 Hospital Hill Rd., Gardner, MA 01440.
