Dorothy J. "Dot" (Pacht) Walker, 66, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner and formerly of Norwood, MA, died peacefully Monday, November 1, 2010 in Legend Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardner, following a long illness.
Born in Albuquerque, NM on May 18, 1944, she was the daughter of Albert W. and Grace (Urbascher) Pacht of Winter Haven, Florida.
Dorothy graduated from Roslindale High School with the Class of 1962.
Prior to retiring in 1970, she was a Secretary employed by John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston for several years.
Dorothy enjoyed embroidering, was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and loved children.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Al Walker.
Besides her parents she leaves one sister, Judith O'Connor and her husband Donald of Templeton; four nieces, Lindy Willis, Emily Sandagata, Megan Nordman and Kate Murphy; three great nieces, Taylor Willis, Chloe and Sophia Nordman; and two great nephews, Hunter Murphy and Miles Willis.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury at a later date.
A calling period will be in the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
