Dorothy A. Lampert

February 18, 1925 — December 31, 2007

Dorothy A. (Viner) Lampert, 82, of 58 Halford St., Gardner, and formerly of 121 Racette Ave., Gardner, died Monday, December 31st in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville, surrounded by her family following a short illness.

Born in Gardner on February 18, 1925, she was the daughter of Roell P. and Viola F. (Rousseau) Viner.

She was a bookkeeper employed by various local manufacturing companies, including Rousseau Bros. of Gardner until retiring in 1982.

Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, the Gardner Golden Agers, A.A.R.P., and was a charter member of the Gardner Emblem Club #220. She was a member of the "Silver Sneakers" fitness program of Gardner and was a loyal Boston Patriots and Red Sox fan. Mrs. Lampert followed her grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

Her husband of 54 years, Richard H. Lampert, died in 1999.

She leaves one son, Thomas W. Lampert and his wife Lynette of Templeton; 5 daughters, Elaine L. Dufort and her husband James E. of Nokomis, FL; Dianne M. Theis and her husband James of Atlanta, GA; Carol A. Schutter and her husband Wayne of Ridgeway, CO; Mary E. Moulton and her husband Richard of Templeton; Linda J. Hageman of Lubbock, TX; one sister, Eleanor LaFountaine of Gardner; 13 grandchildren, James and David Dufort, Kristi Theis, Lisa Palmer, Kate Schelter, Laura Theis, Kelly Schutter, Brett Moulton, Jaclyn Moulton, Hunter Hageman, Georgia Hageman, Shawn Lampert and Hanah Lampert; 4 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Theresa Chartier of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday, January 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
