Dorothee M. (Pelland) Gingras, 89, of 128 Cottage Street, Trumbull, Ct, formerly of Gardner, died suddenly, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Connecticut Hospice of Branford, CT.
Born in Fitchburg on May 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lea (Dambroise) Pelland.
Dorothee graduated from the former Holy Rosary Academy of Gardner. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
Dorothee was employed for many years in the bookkeeping department of the former Heywood-Wakefield Company of Gardner.
She loved to travel, and had traveled the world twice. One of her most memorable traveling experiences was visiting King Tut's Tomb during her trip to Egypt. Dorothee also enjoyed watching late night television shows.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Gingras, who died February 9, 2007.
Dorothee leaves two sister-in-laws, Joanne Gingras of Baldwinville and Virginia Gingras of Royalston; two nieces, Renay Bankowski of Templeton and Holly Haven of Tupelo, Mississippi; two nephews, Gerry Gingras of Hubbardston and Scott Gingras of Ashburnham; and five cousins, Joanne Gould, Jacqueline Pfeifle, Gerard Ambrose, Sherryl St.Cyr and Gregory St.Cyr.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, December 20th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
