Doris M. "Dottie" Richard, 66, of Princeton, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Thursday, May 24, 2018 in her residence.
Doris was born in Gardner on August 3, 1951, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Alice M. (Bourgeois) Richard.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Doris was employed by GAAMHA, Inc. of Gardner as a laborer for many years.
Doris loved to read anything she could get her hands on, but her absolute favorites were Nancy Drew mystery novels and teen magazines. She was a collector of glass dolls, loved to play "Candy Land", and loved attending Mass where she enjoyed singing all the hymns. She also enjoyed listening to music, dancing and bowling. Doris loved to travel and had taken trips to the Grand Canyon, the White Mountains, Hawaii, Panama, and visited both Disneyland and Disney World many times.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 31st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, May 31st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
