Doris M. (Cantin) (Poitras) Murphy, 85, of 1536 Green St., Gardner died Sunday, January 9th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following an illness.
Born in Orange on September 28, 1919, she was the daughter of Henry and Evangeline (Charest) Cantin.
She was a housekeeper employed at Heywood Hospital of Gardner for 12 years, retiring in 1978. She was previously employed by Digital Co. of Maynard.
She leaves 1 son, Raymond A. Poitras of Gardner; 2 brothers, Leo and Philip Cantin both of Gardner. She was predeceased by a son, Robert J. Poitras of Gardner who died in 2001, 2 brothers, Armand and Roger Cantin both of Gardner, and 3 sisters, Pauline Cantin of Palmer, Jeannette Boucher of Gardner and Rita Anderson of Rutland.
At her request, no funeral services are planned.
