Doris A. Parviainen

Doris A. (Casey) Parviainen, 85, of 99 Bridge Street, Baldwinville, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Baldwinille Nursing Home, Baldwinville, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on May 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Lucy (Richard) Casey.
Doris was a member of the Gardner Chapter of A.A.R.P. and was an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion Roger P. Warfield Post 373 of Baldwinville.
She was a fan of Country music and enjoyed cooking, crafts and dining out with Bernie. She devoted her life to her family and loved spending time with them.
Doris was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Waino I. Parviainen, who died December 8, 2007.
She leaves three sons, Wayne S. Parviainen and his wife Debra of Los Angeles, CA, Fredrick E. Parviainen and his wife Susan of Baldwinville and John E. Parviainen and his fiancée Karen Brown of Los Angeles, CA; one daughter, Gail Lamore of Baldwinville; one sister-in-law, Claire Casey of Hudson, NH; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves her best friend, Bernidine Robertson of Auburn. She was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Marie Roberts who died in 1981; and by one brother, Raymond J.E. Casey.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
A calling hour will be held Monday, March 2nd from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
