Doris F. (Bourgeois) Mullins, 87, of 18 Dana Hill Road, Sterling, formerly of 88 Corey Hill Road, Ashburnham, died peacefully Monday, March 2, 2015 in Sterling Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Sterling, after a long illness.
Doris was born in Gardner on October 14, 1927, the daughter of the late Tilmon and Eva (LeBlanc) Bourgeois.
She graduated from Cushing Academy of Ashburnham with the Class of 1945.
Doris was employed as a library aide for the City of Fitchburg Public Library for several years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of St. Denis Church of Ashburnham.
Doris enjoyed listening to music, and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Mullins, who died April 4, 1997.
Doris leaves four sons, Thomas J. Mullins of Ashburnham, James R. Mullins and his wife Jean of Ashby, Michael P. Mullins and his wife Margaret of Ashby and Stephen D. Mullins and his wife Linda of Ashburnham; one daughter, Colleen E. Esposito and her husband Phil of Ashburnham; one brother, Edgar Bourgeois and his wife Barbara of Baton Rouge, LA; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Norman Bourgeois; and by two sisters, Jeannette Janis and Rhea Bilek.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 7th with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Denis Church, 85 Main Street, Ashburnham. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Ashburnham at a later date.
