Doris R. Mailloux

Doris R. "Dot" (Cormier) Mailloux, 81, 32 Hospital Hill Road, Gardner and formerly of 12 Becky Avenue, Gardner, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Doris was born in Gardner on March 2, 1931, the daughter of the late Laurent and Alma (Cormier) Cormier.
She graduated in 1949 from Gardner High School, Gardner.
Doris was employed by Country Home Furnishings of Gardner as a Secretary for four years, retiring in 1993. She was previously employed by the Chamber of Commerce in Gardner for several years.
Doris was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner. She was on the Acquisition Committee of the Gardner Museum, Gardner.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and crafting. Doris loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was fascinated by Genealogy, and enjoyed researching her family's history and lineage.
Doris leaves her husband of 61 years, Thomas R. Mailloux of Gardner; two sons, Leonard M. Mailloux and his wife Dianne of North Providence, RI and James T. Mailloux and his wife Karen of Hubbardston; two daughters, Diane M. Meany and her husband John, Jr. of Gardner and Shirley J. Mailloux-Randall and her husband William of Aurora, OH; one brother, Brother Gerard Cormier of the Brothers of Marist of Flushing, NY; seven grandchildren, Derek Andelloux MD, Brett Mailloux, John Meany III, Jesse Maillout, Jamie Mailloux, Brendon Randall and Lindsay Randall; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Meany; nieces, nephews and several cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Roger Cormier and by one sister, Theresa Dupuis.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 11th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, October 10th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
