Doris R. (Poirier) Camden, 83, of 15 Wasa St., Gardner died Thursday, February 16th in her residence following a brief illness.
Born in Brewer, ME on March 28, 1922, she was the daughter of Simon and Marguerite (LeBlanc) Poirier.
She was last employed at Simplex Time Recorder Co. of Gardner for 5 years, retiring in 1985. She was previously a clerk and window designer employed by J. C. Penney Co. of Gardner.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, A.A.R.P., Gardner Golden Agers and was a lifetime member of Templeton Fish & Game Club. Doris enjoyed traveling to the Maine seacoast, doing yard work and spending time with her family.
Her husband of 50 years, Henry J. Camden, died in 1997.
She leaves a daughter, Kathleen M. Camden of Gardner; 2 sisters, Lucina M. Poirier and husband Ernest of Gardner, Viola Stropparo of Leominster; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Antoine "Ti-Boy" Poirier.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 20th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Monday, February 20th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
