Dorimene 'Doreen' P. (Labrie) Robichaud, 87, of Portland, Maine, formerly of Gardner, died peacefully Friday, February 10, 2017 in Merry Hospital of Portland, Maine.
She was born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada on September 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph and Blandine (Cote) Labrie.
Doreen was a facility service worker employed by the Walter E. Fernald School of Templeton for 18 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Doreen was a member of the Deep Sea Club of Gardner, Turnpike Rod and Gun Club of Ashburnham, associate member of the Beagle Club of Gardner, and a Women's Auxillary member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747 of Gardner for 25 years, where she served as past President and Treasurer.
She loved people, and treasured spending time her many friends. Doreen enjoyed playing cards and playing pool. She also enjoyed bowling, and was a member of the Eagles bowling league.
She leaves one sister, Carmen Boisvert of Montreal, Canada; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Doreen was predeceased by her brother, Gene Labrie of Portland, Maine.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 21st from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery of Gardner, at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, February 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
