Dorilla (LeBlanc) Richard, 89, of 295 Pleasant Street, Gardner died peacefully Monday, March 3, 2008 in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner following a long illness.

Born in Cocagne, N.B., Canada on May 11, 1918, she was the daughter of Alfred and Dina (LeBlanc) Richard.

Mrs. Richard was employed by the City of Gardner for 10 years as a cafeteria worker, until retiring in 1987. She was previously employed as a stitcher by Thayer Manufacturing Co. for several years.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner and its Ladies of St. Anne Society.

Dorilla enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, playing bingo and cards.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Romeo Richard, who died June 30, 2006.

She leaves two sons, David R. Richard and his wife Janice of Gardner, and Real J. Belliveau of Gardner; two daughters, Joanne McCrillis of Otter River and Joyce M. LaBonte and her husband Steven of Gardner; one brother, Ernest LeBlanc of Cocagne, N.B., Canada; a sister-in-law, Imelda LeBlanc of Gardner; a brother-in-law, Aurele Cormier of Moncton, N.B. Canada; six grandchildren, Scott Belliveau, Ryan McCrillis, Erin Warren, Jeffrey LaBonte, Chelsea Richard and Brittany Richard; three great-grandchildren, J.J. Warren, Spencer McCrillis and Jack McCrillis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Emery Belliveau of Moncton, N.B., Canada who died in 1943; four brothers, Alban, Albert, Antoine and Ovila LeBlanc; six sisters, Germaine (Bourque) Cormier, Bella Bastarache, Edna Goguen, Sara Sawyer, Delphine Surrette and Corinne LeBlanc; a son-in-law, Daniel McCrillis who died in 2006.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday, March 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
