Dora V. (Sawyer) (Hebert) Roy, 99, died on November 17, 2019, in Fort Myers, Florida, after a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on January 6, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Oliver N. and Alma (Lusignan) Sawyer. She graduated from the Peacock Academy of Cosmetology. She owned and operated Cottage Beauty Shoppe in South Gardner, for over forty years before retiring to Fort Myers, Florida in 1986.
She leaves one daughter Rachel (Hebert) Reilly and her husband Michael of Fort Myers, Florida; one granddaughter Donna (Gilmore) Mulhearn and her husband Robert of Rehoboth, MA; one grandson David Gilmore and his wife Melinda of Rehoboth, MA; and two great-grandsons Ryan and Terrence Gilmore of Rehoboth, MA.
Dora was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur L. Hebert who died 1961, and her second husband Joseph Roy who died in 1977.
Graveside services will be in St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, at the convenience of the family.
