Dora M. (Bourgeois) Cunningham, 94, of 12 A St., Gardner, died Sunday, April 8th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a brief illness.
Born in Grand Digue, NB, Canada on November 27, 1912, she was the daughter of Jean and Angeline (Caissie) Bourgeois.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, traveling and taking trips to Foxwoods. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Her husband of 38 years, Edward A. Cunningham, died in 1973.
She leaves a son, Richard E. Cunningham and his wife Katherine of Salisbury, MD; 3 daughters, Eleanor J. Doucette and her husband Frederick of Lunenburg, Dorothy A. McKellick and her husband Stephen of Otter River, Carol E. Bernard and her husband Paul of Gardner; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Neri, Aime, and Clement Bourgeois and 2 sisters, Viola Allain and Elia Guevin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, April 12th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
