Donna M. Ares

Donna M. Ares, 74, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in UMass Memorial Medical Center—Memorial Campus, Worcester.

Born in Gardner on April 12, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Donald J. and Eva L. (Lison) Ares. She received her high school diploma through Mount Wachusett Community College in 1972 and her Associate in Science from Becker College in 2000. Donna was a Lab Technician employed by Woodard & Curran of Concord for over two years prior to her retirement in 2009. She was previously employed by the City of Holyoke as a Lab Technician.

Donna was a music enthusiast who loved to listen to it as well as play the guitar. She loved to entertain people, always having a smile on her face. Donna enjoyed traveling, especially to her favorite spot, the ocean. Her greatest gift in life was her family and the time they spent together.

Donna is survived by her brother, Paul L. Ares, and his wife Doreen of Fitchburg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA.

A Calling Hour will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
