Donald L Racette

Donald L. Racette, 83, who resided at 190 Dudley Road of Templeton for the past 63 years, died peacefully Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Life Care Center of Leominster, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on April 23, 1931, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alphonsine (Gagne) Racette .
Donald was owner-operator of Racette Dairy Farm of Templeton, and was also a self-employed farmer and saw mill operator for many years. He also worked part-time for Wilson Bus Lines of Templeton for many years.
Donald was a member of Holy Cross Church of Templeton, and its' League of Sacred Heart #497. He was a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus #2536 of Otter River.
He enjoyed playing horseshoes, cribbage and dominos. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Donald leaves his wife of 63 years, Bernice T. (Cormier) Racette of Templeton; two sons, Donald L. Racette, Jr. of Templeton and Anthony C. Racette of Templeton; three daughters, Suzanne E. Racette and her husband Brian Duke of Templeton , Christine D. Fanelli and her husband Michael of Templeton and Pamela Anne Racette and her husband Wayne Cochran of Templeton; two brothers, George Racette of Gardner and Gerard Racette and his wife Odette of Gardner; six grandchildren, Lisa Parillo, Jacob Racette, Jared Racette, Sarah Duke, Samantha Fanelli and Stephanie Duke; one great-granddaughter; two nieces, four nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sister Christine Racette and Sister Jeannine Racette, both of the Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 27th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 25 Lake Avenue, E. Templeton. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
