Donald R. Perron, Sr., 78, of Ware, MA and Keystone Heights, FL died suddenly Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the home of his daughter in Ashburnham surrounded by his family, following an illness.
Donald was born in Ware, MA on October 21, 1932, the son of the late Walter and Rose (Messier) Perron.
He attended Ware High School.
Prior to retiring in 1991, he and his wife Jean owned and operated Lo-Tide Aquarium in Gardner for eleven years. He previously was owned a dairy farm in Barre.
He was "jack of all trades", including a talented wood worker and made outdoor furniture. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Jean A. (Martin) Perron of Ware and Keystone Heights, FL; one son, Donald R. Perron, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Ware; five daughters, Donna L. Rucki and her husband Robert of Ware, Carol A. Fielding and her husband Walter of Hubbardston, Cindy M. Schneider and her husband Karl of Winchendon, Linda E. Bujnevicie and her significant other Neal Schreckinger of Paxton and Brenda L. Bujnevicie and her significant other Jude Buckley of Ashburnham; one brother, John Perron and his wife Judith of Warren; four sisters, Theresa Kroll of Three Rivers, MA, Margaret Robidoux and her husband Donald of Warren, Shirley Holmes and her husband Steve of Ludlow, Rose Bouvier and her husband Gerald of FL; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Francis and George Perron and by two sisters, Esther Duza and Irene Pellerin.
A Memorial Service will be held and announced at a later date.
