Donald N. Bastarache, 65, of Gardner, died peacefully Monday, March 6, 2023, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness with his sister by his side.
Born in Gardner on May 16, 1957, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Gloria (LeBlanc) Bastarache.
Donald was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner and attended mass at its Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Campus. He was a member of Life Skills Inc. and the Venture Day Program. Donald was an avid fan of all the New England sports teams and was fond of football and baseball. He also loved food, eating and listening to music. Donald’s greatest joy in life was his family, treasuring all the times they had together.
Besides his parents, Donald is survived by his sister, Donna Bastarache of Gardner; a brother, Dennis G. Bastarache and his wife Donna White of Sunderland; a niece and a nephew, Derick Bastarache, and Amanda Bastarache and her wife Sonya; and several cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held in the spring.
A Calling Hour will be held Thursday March 16, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
