Dona M. Morris, 67, of 519 East River Street, Orange, died Tuesday, March 3rd in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, following a struggle with cancer.
Born in Gardner on August 30, 1941, she was the daughter of Donald J. and Nellie (Stasukelis) Morris.
Dona was a Sales Manager, Interior Designer and Executive Assistant employed for several years by various companies throughout the area, including, Lexington Furniture Co., Acton, MA, Great American Oak, Westborough, Landmark Development, Worcester, MA and Coghlin's Furniture Co., Inc., Worcester. She most recently was the sole proprietor of "Aprons", which offered a wide selection of services relating to cooking.
Dona graduated from Gardner High School, Gardner with the Class of 1959.
She enjoyed cooking, decorating and traveling. Dona was an avid gardener, and sold her items at several local Farmers Markets.
Dona leaves one brother, Paul R. Morris and his wife Sandra of Richmond, NH; cousins, Dick and Paula Stasukelis; one aunt, Alice Morris of Gardner; seven nephews, John, Jonathan, Nicholas and Douglas Stasukelis, Mark Morris, Matthew and Edward Stasukelis; and three nieces, Lori Stasukelis-Foley and her husband William Foley, and Stephanie and Tina Stasukelis. She was predeceased by one niece, Deanna Manca who died November 13, 2006.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11th at 1:30 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, at a later date.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday, March 11th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
