Derrill E. Oja

Derrill E. Oja, Jr., 45, 0f 20 Franklin Court, Gardner, died peacefully, Monday, April 25, 2011 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Lake Ave, Worcester, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on June 9, 1965, he was the son of Derrill E. Oja, Sr. and Louise R. (Mizereck) Oja.
Derrill was a self employed general contractor for many years.
He received his G.E.D. in 1992.
Derrill enjoyed fishing, baseball, football and spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite television shows were "Law and Order", "Lock Up" and the "Sopranos".
Derrill leaves his father, Darrill F. Oja, Sr. of Baldwinville and his mother, Louise "Dolly" (Mizereck) Oja of Gardner; his wife, Linda H. (Stanley) Oja of Gardner; one son, Dillon Oja of Baldwinville; three daughters, Brittany L. Oja of TN, Janie D. Cooper of Gardner and Violet J. Cooper of Seabrook, NH; one brother, John E. Oja of Gardner; three grandchildren, Lilly Rose and Samuel Patterson of Seabrook, NH and Kingston Cooper of Gardner; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Services will be held Monday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Gardner.
A calling hour will be Monday, May 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 455, 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440 to assist with Derrell's funeral expenses.
