Dennis J"Tiwatt" Richard Sr

Dennis J. "Tiwatt" Richard, Sr. 64, of Gardner, died Sunday, June 26th in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital of Leominster, following a long illness.
Born in Gardner on September 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Zoel and Zelima (Cormier) Richard.
Dennis was a United States Vietnam War Veteran and received the National Defense Service Medal.
He was the owner/operator of Central Street Café of Gardner for many years, retiring in 1996.
Dennis was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. He was also a member of the American Legion, Eugene M. Connor Post 193 of Winchendon.
Dennis enjoyed building models and creating arts and crafts. He loved the ocean, enjoyed attending Friday night car shows at the PACC, and spending time with friends at the Paramount in Gardner.
He leaves one son, Dennis J. "Denny" Richard, Jr. of Portland, OR; one daughter, Tammy L. Nonni of Falmouth, Maine; his significant other, Nancy Richard of Gardner; two brothers, Daniel Richard and his wife Michele of Baldwinville and Robert Richard and his husband John of Fitchburg; two sisters, Gloria Belliveau and her husband Lauri of Gardner and Eleana White and her husband Mike of Sparta, NC; three grandchildren, Emmalyn Nonni, Sam Nonni and Joellexiah Jimenez; two uncles, Oscar Richard of Templeton and Ernest Richard of Gardner; Goddaughter, Angelina Jimenez of Gardner; Godson, Scott Belliveau of Baldwinville; his best friend, Gordy Suits of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald and Noel Richard; and one sister, Janice Bourgeois.
Funeral Services and burial will be held Wednesday, July 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
