Denise M. (Legere) Maddocks, 42, of 134 Barthel Avenue, Gardner died peacefully Thursday, June 2, 2011 in her residence surrounded by family and friends following a long illness.
Denise was born in Gardner on March 7, 1969, the daughter of Normand J.P. and Bernice M. (Richard) Legere of Gardner.
She graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in Fitchburg with the Class of 1987.
Denise was an Insurance Broker employed for the past 13 years by Mahoney and Obara Insurance Agency in Worcester.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. She was also a member of the Templeton Fish and Game Club of Templeton.
Denise enjoyed dancing, shopping with her daughters, reading and traveling to the beach. Her family was the most important aspect of her life, and she loved spending time playing with her grandbabies. Denise was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she leaves leaves her husband of 23 years, Robert A. Maddocks of Gardner, three daughters, Ashley A. Reddy and her husband Shawn of Gardner, Andrea M. Spagnola and her husband Jonathan of Gardner and Arielle L. Maddocks and her significant other, David Petrucci of Gardner; two brothers, Yvon J. Legere and his wife Kim of Gardner and Paul J. Legere and his wife Karin of York, PA; one sister, Claudette M. Borey and her significant other William Asbury II of Templeton; three grandchildren, Lexie May Spagnola, Makenzie Abigail Reddy and Alivia Denise Petrucci; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 6th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Sunday, June 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gardner Relay for Life, 350 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604 or to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
