Denise A. (Bourque) Harris, 63, of 199 Main Street, Gardner, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following a long illness.
Denise was born in Gardner on September 28, 1951, the daughter of Leo and Claire (Beauregard) Bourque.
She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1969.
Prior to becoming disabled, Denise was employed by Garlock Printing of Gardner as a pressman.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. Denise was a former member of the Royal Cadets.
Denise's favorite things were reading and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Emma.
Besides her mother, Claire Bourque of Gardner, Denise leaves her husband of 24 years, Willie Harris, Jr. of Gardner; one son, Major Willie Harris III and his wife Susan of Discovery Bay, CA; one daughter, Megan C. Parker and her husband Jeremy of Gardner; one brother, David A. Bourque and his wife Susan of Milford, NH; three grandchildren, Emma B. Maylin, Cameron Blake Harris and Skylar Olivia Harris; one aunt, Colleen Beauregard; aunt and uncle, Florence and Roland Roy; and one nephew, Jason Cote of Stone Mountain, GA. She was predeceased by her brother Steven Bourque who died in 1987.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 2nd at 6:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 2nd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Academy, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
