Delphine M. (Gallant) Henri, 98, of Gardner, died peacefully, Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner, following a brief illness.
She was born in St. Norbert, N.B. Canada on November 3, 1917, the daughter of the late Frederick and Suzanne (Maillet) Gallant. Delphine was the youngest and last surviving child of 18.
Delphine was employed for many years by Thayer Manufacturing Company as a stitcher, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner. She was also a member of Monument Assumptions of Rogersville, N.B Canada.
Delphine enjoyed playing Bingo, dancing and singing. She loved to knit, crochet and cook. She treasured spending time with her family.
Delphine was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Zephirin J. Henri, who died March 3, 1999.
She leaves two sons, Gerald J. Henri and his wife Diane of Baldwinville and Roger J. Henri and his wife Fernande of Gardner; three daughters, Maria T. Babineau and her husband Ernest of Gardner, Diane M. Boudreau and her husband Fidele of Gardner and Claudette M. Landry and her husband Pierre of Hubbardston; six grandchildren, David Henri, Betty Ann Tencati, Lynn Hannula, Vickie Unfricht, Mark Babineau and Tammy Minard; eighteen great-grandchildren, Sophie, Sam, Alivia, Charlotte, Levi, Calvin, Matthew, Andrew, Jeffrey, Joshua, Aalex, Izak, Nathan, Eddie, Shane, Nicholas, Aiden and Christopher; three great-great-grandchildren, Mason, Meena and Mackenzie; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two grandsons, Dean Boudreau and Timmy Henri.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 12:00 p.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 8th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
