Deborah A. "Deb", "Debbie" (LaFalam) Race, 51, of 16 Mill Glen Road, Winchendon, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 8, 2014 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after being stricken ill.
Born in Gardner on December 20, 1962, she was the daughter of Francis J. and Christine Ann (Geyster) LaFalam of Baldwinville.
Deborah graduated from Narragansett Regional High School of Baldwinville with the Class of 1981.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church of Baldwinville.
At the time of her death Deborah was a bank teller employed by Colonial Co-Op Bank of Gardner for ten years, and was known by all for her contagious, beautiful smile.
Deborah enjoyed puzzles, crafts, reading and housekeeping. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother whose her greatest joy in life was raising her children.
Besides her parents, she leaves her husband of 30 years, Russell L. Race of Winchendon; two sons, Benjamin R. Race and his significant other, Lindsay Laporte of Gardner and Nicholas F. Race of Winchendon; one daughter, Sarah A. Kruszkowski and her husband Steven of Boston; one brother, Scott F. LaFalam and his wife Kelly of Keene, NH; one sister, Lynn A. Trinque and her husband Stephen of Gardner; two aunts, four uncles; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 13th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
