David J"Dave" Prentice

David J. "Dave" Prentice, 54, of 56 Fieldstone Drive, Gardner, died Friday, June 3rd in his residence, surrounded by his family following a short illness.
Born in Montreal, P.Q. Canada on October 30, 1956, he was the son of the late Sasha and Wanda (Prentice) Wolenska.
Together with his wife, David co-owned and operated Chair City Decorating Center in Gardner for the past 12 years, and was well known as the "Paint Man". He was previously a Service Manager employed by Hammer Corp. of Nashua, N.H. for several years.
He was a 1974 graduate of Pelham High School, Pelham, NH.
David was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner.
He was a devoted family man and took great pleasure working around the house. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed mountains, taking walks, going to the beach, and vacationing in Hawaii and Disney. He had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed playing chess. David had a soft spot for his dog, Reilly. He will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him - his family, friends, and especially his customers.
He leaves his wife of 29 years, Alanna M. (Reilly) Prentice of Gardner; 2 sons, Evan J. Prentice of Gardner, Jonathan B. Horne and his wife April of Kennebunk, Maine; 1 daughter, Hillary M. Richard and her husband Jeremy of Gardner; 3 brothers, Shahin Prentice and his wife Joanne of Framingham, Eliot Chute of Florida, Robert Poirier of Pacific Palisades, CA; 2 sisters, Jenny Dutton and her husband Dennis of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Lisa Poirier and her husband Guy of Pacific Palisades, CA; 2 grandchildren, Ava and Anya Horne; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 8th from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, at a later date.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, June 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
