David A. Mackelburger, 51, of Gardner, formerly of West Virginia, died peacefully Thursday, August 29, 2024, in his home after a period of declining health with his family by his side.
Born in Denver, Colorado, on November 26, 1972, he was the son of Lemmie A. (Galbraith) Mackelburger of Gardner and the late Harry J. Mackelburger. He graduated from Thornton CO High School with the Class of 1990. David was a driver employed in the nuclear medicine industry for many years.
David loved to cook and was known for his smoked meat. He also enjoyed going to Sturgis, riding his bike and having a good party. David’s greatest joy was his family treasuring his time spent with them.
Besides his mother, David is survived by his sister, Dawn MacIntosh and her fiancé Robert Cormier of Gardner; maternal grandmother, June Galbraith of Colorado; aunts and uncles, Rudy Tedesko, Joanne, Nancy, and Fred Mackelburger; nieces, Kristie Ducharme and Skylar Kuczwara and her husband Jared; several great nieces and nephews and a cousin, Mike Tedesko.
