David D. Brochu

David D. Brochu, 65, of Westminster, died peacefully Friday, January 24, 2025, in St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston, after a short illness with his family by his side.

Born in Gardner on January 1, 1960, he was the son of the late Roger and Mary (MacMillian) Brochu. He graduated from Notre Dame High School of Fitchburg with the Class of 1977. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Lowell in 1981, and his Master’s in Business Administration from Nichols College. David was a plastics engineer employed by TechNH, Inc., of Merrimack, NH, for many years until his death.

David was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church of Westminster. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and was a proud season ticket holder for years. David loved to take trips down to his vacation home in Dennis. He also loved his cats, Rosie and Fern, and dog, Zoey. His pride and joy was his family, especially his granddaughter, Olivia, treasuring all the special memories they had made together.

David is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen M. (Rameau) Brochu of Westminster; a son, Ben Brochu and his significant other Andrea Perugini of Watertown; a daughter, Kaitlyn Brochu and her significant other Justin Burba of Westminster; a granddaughter, Olivia Burba of Westminster; his cousins, Rob and Kevin Brochu, Michelle Glass, Grace Poirier, and Elizabeth Ryan; and several nieces.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA. Burial at Woodside Cemetery, Narrows Road, Westminster, MA, will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
