David "Nuggets" Owen Bourn, 70 of 30 Prospect St., Baldwinville, died peacefully Sunday, September 30th in the Baldwinville Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Winchendon on August 7, 1937, the son of the late William Irving and Hazel (Evarts) Bourn.
David owned "Nuggets" in Baldwinville for 26 years, retiring in 1983.
He was a 1955 graduate of the former Templeton High School.
David enjoyed music, playing cards and in particular cribbage. He liked to spend his time watching old and new movies at home. He was an avid Boston Red Sox. David will be remembered for always enjoying life to the fullest.
He leaves twin daughters, Christine and Coreen; two sisters, Phyllis Sherman and her husband Neil of Brattleboro, VT and El-Jean LeClair and her husband Raymond of Winchendon; one grandchild; a special niece with whom he lived for several years, Cindy LeBlanc and her husband Robert of Baldwinville; a special grand-nephew, Alan LeBlanc of Baldwinville and a special grand-niece Heather LeBlanc of Leominster; and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Stewart Bourn.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 6th at 10:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Family and friends are invited to the home of Cindy and Robert LeBlanc, 30 Prospect Street, Baldwinville to pay their respects on Wednesday, October 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
