Cyprien Johnson, 102, of 59 Eastwood Circle, Gardner, formerly of 61 Lake Street, Gardner, died Wednesday, March 7th in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Gardner, following a short illness.
He was born in St. Louis De Kent, N.B. Canada on September 16, 1904, the son of Pierre and Priscille (Gallant) Johnson.
Cyprien was a shipper, employed by Heywood Wakefield Company of Gardner until his retirement in 1969.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Gardner and a member of the Acadien Social Club, Gardner.
Cyprien enjoyed playing cards at the Acadien Social Club.
He was a World War II United States Army Veteran.
Cyprien is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers, Adelard, Belonie, Albert, Jean Baptiste, Joseph and Alfred Johnson; and two sisters,Albertine Richard and Edith Potter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, March 10th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
