Cosette "Coochie" Anne (Fontaine) Murray, 55, of Gardner, was called by God to Heaven on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Cosette passed away unexpectedly in UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester from a brain tumor.
Cosette was born in Gardner on December 30, 1961, the daughter of the late Roger and Alma (Breau) Fontaine.
She graduated from Oakmont Regional High School of Ashburnham with the Class of 1980.
Cosette was employed for the past 7 years as the Manager of 'Just Dance! Performing Arts Center' of Gardner. In past years, she was a waitress at the International Hotel of Bolton and also worked at the Westminster Country Club.
She was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Gardner where she selflessly helped organize multiple Sacred Heart School and Church dinners and events. She also volunteered at the annual church bazaar, and served as an Officer on the Sacred Heart of Jesus School Board of Directors.
Cosettes hobbies included gardening, cooking and baking. She was a master chef in the kitchen and hosted the most amazing family parties. She loved entertaining, and loved bringing everyone together to make memories that would last forever. Cosette was a devoted mother who was involved with her children's many activities, including being a Brownie Leader and Boy Scout Leader. She treasured spending time with her family. Over the years, they traveled together to the beaches of Rhode Island, the lighthouses of Maine, the mountains of New Hampshire, and to the rainbows of Hawaii. Her favorite destination location was Disney World where she and her husband spent their honeymoon and continued to visit for many years later with their family. Cosette lived life to the fullest and could light up a room with her beautiful, welcoming smile. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Godmother and friend. She had a heart of gold, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cosette leaves her husband of 32 years, Francis A. Murray, Jr. of Gardner; one son, Francis A. Murray III of Gardner; one daughter, Amanda J. Murray of Gardner; two brothers, Roger Fontaine and his wife Catherine of Venice, FL and Fred Fontaine and his wife Judy of Port Charlotte, FL; three sisters, Gertrude Lescord and her husband Peter of Worcester, Rosalie Fontaine of Gardner and Alice Caisse and her husband Stephen of Gardner; one granddaughter, Jozette Murray; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, November 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions, which will be used for a scholarship fund for 'Just Dance Performing Arts Studio' to bring the joy of dance to those in need of assistance, may be made to Francis A. Murray, Jr., 112 Saunders Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
