Corinne J. (Levasseur) Savaria, 92, of 465 Tully Rd., Orange and formerly of 24 Leamy St., Gardner, died Tuesday, March 23rd in her residence.
Born in Gardner on June 23, 1911, she was the daughter of Edouard and Anna (Tetreault) Levasseur.
She was a cashier employed by the former City Market and Trifilo Market, both of Gardner for several years until retiring in 1973.
Mrs. Savaria was a 1929 graduate of Gardner High School.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and its Ladies of St. Anne Society, Gardner Golden Agers and Friendly Neighbors and was also a member of Friendly Folks of Worcester.
Her husband of 31 years, Camille A. Savaria died in 1963.
She leaves 1 son, Edward C. Savaria and wife Jeanne of Gardner; 2 daughters, Yvonne C. Perreault and husband Roger Perreault of Gardner; Claire H. (Bonk) Currier and husband Jerry of Orange with whom she lived; 1 sister, Marion Larocque of Gardner; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Leo E., Rene, George Levasseur, and 2 sisters, Yvette Beauchemin and Yvonne Levasseur.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 15th with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner.
Burial of cremains will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
